Valerie is a Guitarist/Vocalist/Songwriter. Originally from El Paso, Texas she now currently lives in Los Angeles, CA. Her Texas roots come out not only in her guitar chops but in her raspy, punchy vocals. But her rough Texas sound is equally matched by her melodic finesse creating a perfect mix of raspy/soft. She is said to be a mix of Gotye, Mumford & Sons, and Sheryl Crow. 
Her music has become very defined by the tragic and sudden death of her brother Randy Ponzio in November 2011. He was a musician as well making quite a name for himself on the Vancouver music scene. He taught her how to play guitar and guided her through her music career. Her lyrics and sound have taken a more dark and painful turn with hints of her brothers sound and message of hope and love that seep through revealing a depth and soul that will captivate and mesmerize any listener.
